WHAT IS COACHING?
Coaching is a profession proven now for over 30 years, which draws elements from sports coaching, management skills, psychology, philosophy, evolution and culture to benefit an executive, leader, professional, entrepreneur or fast-track manager that wants to maximize his/her potential.
WHY DOES COACHING WORK?
Coaching works because of these unique features:
Synergy: Client and Coach become a team, focusing on the client's goals and needs and accomplishing more than the client would alone.
Structure: With a coach, a client takes more actions, thinks bigger and "out of the box", and gets the job (or jobs) done, thanks to the accountability, which the coach provides.
Expertise: The executive coach has experience in many areas and knows how to help executives stretch themselves through jointly setting "SMART" goals, asking thought-provoking questions, and helping the client to focus on his/her development (such as succession planning; improving leadership competencies, making emotionally intelligent decisions, etc.)

BUT HOW DOES COACHING WORK? HOW DOES A COACH DO THIS?
Coaching is delivered through regular in-person and/or telephone/webcam sessions, generally twice a month for 1 - 1 ½ hours per session. The client brings an agenda of items to the session. The coach listens, questions deeply and helps them solve the problems and make the most of the opportunities.

When taking on a large goal, a coach can help design the project and provide the support and structure needed to make sure it gets done.

A coach brings out the client's best by asking difficult questions, offering advice, brainstorming, helping to strategize, expecting a lot; and celebrating wins. Crossborder Coaching is an international coaching service with a network of coaches that spans the globe.
