Cynthia Kaplan has over 20 years of combined experience in marketing, business development and executive recruiting. She began pursuing her dream of international career, studying at the University of Valencia, Spain, and subsequently has worked in Finland, Japan and now Mexico. She has also traveled extensively for business and pleasure throughout Asia, Europe and Latin America.
International Business Intelligence - Risk Consulting 9 years
Cynthia’s industry experience has included over 9 years in international business intelligence and risk consulting, as an executive with the two leading companies Kroll and Control Risks Group. She also brings her experience from her role with the company, TodoBebe Media; she helped launch them in the market in Mexico in 2000, and remains actively involved in their expansion into new media channels there. She also teaches Global Marketing Management at Endicott College’s Mexico City campus.
Cynthia received a B.S in Administration from the University of New Hampshire’s Whitemore School of Business, with a second major in Spanish, and graduated with honors with a Masters in International Management at the Arthur D. Little School of Management in Boston.
Founded Crossborder Coaching in Mexico City in 2002
Cynthia relocated to Mexico City in February, 2000, and in November, 2002, following her lifelong passion to help others achieve success in their international careers and experiences living abroad, she founded Crossborder Coaching.
A native of Boston, Massachusetts, Kaplan has lived and traveled extensively in Europe, Asia and Latin America. She is fluent in Spanish, and has a working knowledge of Japanese.
In her free time, she is an avid kayaker, (a passion which she offers to share with her clients through her “coaching avant-garde” program.), and enjoys mountain biking, yoga, reading and exploring Mexico’s rich cultural heritage. Cynthia is certified by the Coach Training Alliance and combines her international business skills, and cross-cultural experience to empower her clients to achieve measurable success.
